Meeting in State Procurement Agency

29 March, 2018
The Georgian Fire prevention Association has completed the complaint for the tender (SPA 180003046) announced by the Ministry of Finance in the State Procurement Agency on March 21.
The complaint was reported on the tender terms announced by the Ministry of Finance, namely that they did not take into consideration the requirements of the Georgian Government Resolution #41 and did not require appropriate certificates during the selection of companies to provide service of monitoring fire safety.
State Procurement Agency accepted the complaint, and on March 29, 2018, meeting was held in State Procurement Agency that was attended by both sides: Georgia Fire Prevention Association and the Ministry of Finances.
The decision about this complaint will be known in 10 working days. Information will be posted on our website
In the end, we want to talk about one very important fact. As representatives from the Ministry of Finances have mentioned, they were trying to put the most precise terms for tender based on the Georgian Government Resolution #41, but since this resolution refers to the NFPA standards, that are accessible only in English, it is quite problematic for the users of this resolution to understand and use this law. Our organization is aware of this problem and we are working on it. But we will need support from everyone, wheter we will translate this norms or another solution will be found.
